Christmas, born December 26, 2010, will be one of our herd cows when she grows up
Bear Creek Farm & Ranch raises Belted Galloway cattle for beef. Belted Galloway originated in Scottland. They are a smaller breed of cattle with long hair, therefore they don't have the extra layer of fat that most short haired cattle have, so they are naturally leaner. This breed of cattle do well on grass and are known for their excellent flavor.
Our cattle are raised on grass & hay, which is the normal food for cattle. Our pastures have been chemical free since 1979 when we bought our farm.
We do not use added hormones in our cattle. We do not feed antibiotics.
The beef is aged 10 to 14 days, which consentraits the flavor and makes the meat tender, then it is vaccumed packed.
